Time to plan some Godly events!

                                                             COVER Fashion Show 2020!

A Call to Christians to create more events that boosts morals! While you are looking for ways to start your own business, try this

So you've given your heart to Christ and are now on this new journey to a lifestyle change! This means public events that promote drunkenness and reveling will no longer be your source of entertain. Paul was very explicit with this when he wrote to the Galatians.

Galatians 5:19-21

19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

So what will you do now? Though there are a plethora of activities Christians can do for recreation and entertainment, (See Where Else can Christians go?) who said we cannot have public events that feed our spirits rather than our flesh?

God gave me the insight to start a fashion show (COVER) that highlights modesty and sophistication for men and women, especially Christians. Added to this show is a 10 to 15 minute motivational speech done by someone who has measures of wisdom to share. More over, there is a mixture live entertainment & creative drinks bars with non-alcoholic drinks (MOCKTAILS). The show has ran for two years now and the reviews continue to get better as patrons leave filled rather than emptied or tired.

Kingdom Sounds and Mr & Mrs Redeemed Promotions amongst others also put on concerts with local and international artists. These are very good but there is so much more we can do as God's children if we would just listen to Him and allow Him to grace us with the ideas and vision.

There are too many young christians searching for a place to fellowship on the weekends or holidays and not enough opportunities for that kind of evangelism. Yes the church is excellent in its work in ministry but I would like to challenge my fellow brothers and sisters to get creative and start seeking God's face for ideas for godly events, even in the midst of a pandemic. If the world can plan its carnival months in advance we can put in the effort.

I believe that through these events a lot of souls can also be saved while others grow deeper in God because of the conviction of God's presence it will portray.

SO let's get started shall we?!

Top COVID 19 protocol that they aren’t telling you to follow.

Wisdom:

James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. (NIV)

Those who desire wisdom shall seek it and find it!

Fight COVID 19 & Every other disease with this protocol!

So COVid 19 has turned our lives upside down in 2020 and sadly continues to do so over 5 months later.

Whether it was "created in a lab, or caused by 5g internet upgrade” this pandemic has demonstrated that it is not your fly by night issue. -That it is lasting longer than many us anticipated. What then can we do?

Ever since it made its 'debut' the authorities have listed and emphasized at least 3 major protocols to being safe:

  1. Social distance: Stay 6 feet apart from your fellow man when speaking or interacting if you must and or quarantine.
  2. Wear a mask and other protective gear if you must venture out into society especially to work and
  3. Sanitize & keep your body and environment clean.

However if there is one course of action we should have always been taking and should definitely take on as a lifestyle now during this pandemic it is to;

  1. Get & stay HEALTHY!!!

If we have never taken our health and body seriously before then this is indeed the time to do so!

Our bodies are temples (the only true home we have to live in) it is therefore fitting that we take great care of it!

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies."

Hence we have been mandated to take care of this temple entrusted in our care. We have become so consumed with gaining wealth in this life that we have placed our health on the back burner. Losing sleep to ensure we work over time to make the extra dollar which we are likely to spend on health care if we are not careful. Is it really worth it?

Healthy, though it may seem to be common knowledge, implies "full strength and vigor, as well as freedom from disease..." -Merriam Webster Dictionary

Within the word Healthy is the word HEAL, which is defined by the same as "to restore to original purity or integrity." It is time that we make a better effort to balance our lives and truly live it abundantly as the good Lord intended when the sent Jesus. John 10:10 (...I came so that they may have life and have it abundantly.")

Our body was designed to heal itself in so many ways if we would just simply take batter care of it and keep it HEALTHY.

Lastly if we should doubt the significance of keeping well let us remember that God demonstrated it from the very beginning when he RESTED on the 7th day after working for 6 days. Did our creator truly needed to rest or was He giving us an example of what is necessary for our survival?

Hence as we Wear our masks, social distance and sanitize let us remember to first BE & STAY HEALTHY!

What does the Bible say about a loose tongue?

(Wisdom to consider the next time you get tempted to engage in useless chitter chatter )

The tongue has been deemed most powerful yet untamable! That little soft boneless piece of flesh that knocks on our teeth to give out sounds that is some how understood or misunderstood by many has quite the bit of power.

We are taught that we can “speak things into being...” even The Four Agreements, for those who believe in it, speaks about being “impeccable with your words.” Or “making daily affirmations till they manifest.

The Bible speaks a lot about the power of the tongue. Even in genesis God SAID “let there be...” and it became.

Additional common scriptures that indicates the power of the tongue include:

Proverbs 12:18 - "There is one whose rash words are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise brings healing."

Proverbs 18:21 confirms this by saying, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits."

Matthew 18:18, which proclaims, "Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

So if the tongue has such high regard and apparent power why are we not more careful in the way we use it?

Why aren’t we more intentional with the conversations we tend to be so quick to engage in?

Or the words we speak over our lives?

Consider the following verses as you make a decision about how to effectively use your tongue.

The Bible says:

Proverbs 13:3; “Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life; he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin."

Ephesians 4:29; "Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear."

Proverbs 26:20; "Without wood, a fire will go out, and without gossip, quarreling will stop."

Matthew 12:36; "I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak."

Matthew 12:37; "For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

Proverbs 29:20; "Do you see a man who is hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him."

Our words do not go into thin air and disappear, they go out and wait for us in the future. With that knowledge what steps can we take to ensure we do not fall victim to our own loose rumbling? Selah

The misconception of the Jesus is coming SOON concept
