Gospel Sensation K-Anthony speaks to Young & Christian

Being a Christian in the 21st century is not just a tag to go by. Many believe that being a Christian should be when you are old and grey and have nothing else to 'lose.' However, one of my aims is to show the young Christians that we should surely remember the Lord in the days of thy youth.- Ecclesiastes 12:1

One young man who has obeyed this scripture is gospel sensation K-Anthony who was more than happy to share a bit of his story with us about just how God is working in his life as young as he is.

He is Young, he is Christian, he is Young & Christian!!!  Here is what K- Anthony had to say, read on and be INSPIRED by a young man who sees himself as a 'Billboard' for Christ'.

How it all began and the artist versus the individual:
My musical journey started in the youth segment at church. I would rearrange old hymns and sing them. I also sang in several groups while in my teenage years, but I would say I started in earnest in college. I started writing my own songs and travelling miles into the city to record.
Kevin Fowler is not really seperate  from K-anthony, what I present myself to be is who I really am. I am careful in how I dress and I like things done well.I think this is due to the fact that I like the arts.

His Relationship with God, his music of choice and its challenges:
My relationship with God is all important to my role as a musician. I see what I do as a ministry. Therefore any music I do draws from this principle. I see myself as a Christian Contemporary Artist. The challenge with this definition is that interests in christian music to some extent has fallen off. I think in additon to the content, the packaging should be good, and so I want to present myself well.

How he faces the world as a Young Christian and comparison to worldly music:
The reality is a young christian male faces the same challenges as any male in his age group. By this I mean I believe we are not immune from the temptation of the pleasures of this world. I have a song called 'Tomorrow You May Not,' (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55WPresaBSY) which kinda summarizes how I see my daily approach to living. I don't compare my music to wordly music, some persons may hear the rhythms and think it's too heavy. However as a musician I execute my craft with the appreciation and understanding of instrumentation and the ability to reinforce a message when paired with the right words.

His vision for his talent:
In the next 5-10 years I see myself having completed 2 successful albums and touring. I want to bring a fresh relevant presentation of christian contemporary music. I want to break barriers of prejudice that seperate people from "Gospel" music, what do I mean by that-I want to bring the essence of the gospel to speak to each situation.

His message to the young; christian or not:
I want to let Christian young people know that they should not be ashamed to be different. I want them to know that God knows what they are going through as a christian in a world where it seems they are always in the wrong lane driving against the traffic.-That it's ok being a child of God.I want the non christian young person to know that Jesus is the best choice. I believe their interest in music is a common ground and I hope my message will help them through the tough times.

K-Anthony has contributed to my spiritual development through his music with songs such as GOD IS GOOD, I'M ALIVE and BILLBOARD.  You can share in this awesome young man's of God journey by subscribing to his Youtube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdq9vnHpiThhtQpB4W3ZjnA

Sometimes your frustration gives birth to your inner Warrior!

When Frustration with Life comes knocking, how will you answer the door?

Growth is a part of life! Duh! Our bodies remind us of that daily. Take pictures continually and compare those Facebook memories to see just how much your body has changed over a year.

The longer you stay on this earth and experience life the more you'll realize nothing really stays the same. Seasons come and go.

When life hits you from all angles, you become uncomfortable in your zone of comfort. Its as if you are outgrowing a box you are placed in and are ready to try out a bigger and more accommodating one.
When life gets you annoyed or frustrated, whether it is your job, or your family or simply trying to find your place in this universe, you get to that point and you are now face to face in the ring with life, pressing its chest against you saying; "whatcha gonna do? Huh? Huh? Whatcha gonna do?"

So what do you do? Do you break down and cry? OR do you musta up your inner warrior you know you have and release your 'turbo' and fight back?

There is a common notion that states, "you never know how strong you are unless being strong is all you have to be." Well when your frustration with life's circumstances comes rushing in and you really feel like breaking down, recognize that you are up against a discomfort that only you can determine how to respond to. In the heat of that moment, don't break down! Dig your feet deeper into the ground and find your solution.
How will I handle this? Sure it's not easy to simply just calm down especially when you have broken the anger or frustration scale, but it is not impossible either.

So test yourself the next time you get frustrated. What will you do? Will you let it break you? or Will you find your solution within yourself and shift your focus towards breaking that hold of frustration over your life? Whatever you decide, will be solely dependent on your inner warrior and just how strong he/she is.

The misconception of the Jesus is coming SOON concept
