Angry with God!

After what seemed like facing defeat, I walked into my room and started to have it out with God. "Lord I don't get you!" I said as my disatisfied emotions got the better part of me. Clearly I had gone into a confrontation expecting God to be on my side, thinking I had it figured out and that He was about to show up for me. But here I am in the end feeling all upset that my expectations were clearly NOT met.

"How could you give them more rights over me? Why did you allow them to be smarter than me in that sense? When I prayed for them to be smart I didn't mean it in that way!!! " I ravaged in my mind as I continued my rant!

Then the doubting jumped in, " is it that I am less anointed?" because that's what happens when emotions attack, they bring friends! Soon a few things came to mind. Earlier that day I was giving God praise for giving me what I wanted! For answering my prayer with a "yes!" Proving a better reward than I had expected! And while I thanked Him I almost hear myself asking, "will you still praise Him in the "no" or the bad? " So I quickly overpowered that voice and said "I'll even praise you when it's not what I wanted." Yet a few hours later here I am angry at Him, because I believed that He had caused me to lose. Thank goodness God is not human!

Next another revelation came to me; the law of recognition surpassed my nagging emotions and my spirit brought great news to me. My little charade of so called "upset with God" like a spoilt brat ended within seconds. Then the conversation shifted, "Lord if this is your way of teaching me something, open my eyes to see it..." I prayed respectfully this time.  I was now calm and allowing the spirit of God to minister His wisdom to me. We cannot be a race car reving to start a race and expect to hear from God! We must first rise above the noise to hear His still small voice.

Most times our emotions (anger) creep in unnecessarily and uninvited to rob us of our joy and in my case my spiritual wisdom and enlightenment! If we yield to it there are possible unwanted consequences, but if we can recognize it at the get go, then self control (a gift from God) nips it in the bud! Besides,  I'm sure most of us know what extreme uncontrolled anger can lead to.
I thank God for allowing me to come to Him boldly with my rant but also not allowing me to let it get the best of me! Hope you will allow Him to do the same for you! Now I'm smiling and no longer angry at my Father!

Five benefits that prompt Christians to wait until marriage to have sex!

By Netisha Alie

This is a very controversial topic as many have their reservations of why you should or shouldn’t wait to have sex. But Christians are encouraged to embark on this waiting process because it has proven to yield great fruits that could strengthen their marriage.

Besides the ultimate benefit of obeying God and allowing Him to see that even your most innate desire is not more important than His relationship with you, and that you trust Him enough with your life to know that He will give you only the best, there are a few added benefits that Christians or any who chooses to part-take, can enjoy and look forward to by waiting until marriage to have sex.

1.   Sex clouds your judgment: Sex involves a wave of emotions and feelings that can really overshadow your mindset and thought processes. You may see all the red flags but become so focused on the feeling that comes when the doors are closed that you blow them off and keep pursuing a clear dead end.  Emotions have proven to truly have an adverse effect on our life choices and unless you are packing in on those emotional intelligence abilities, it would serve you better to put the sex in a nice box, wrapped in a bow, and place it on the top shelf as a reward for later. If this person is not God's choice for you, you're going to need a clear head to see the signs.

2.   It allows you to focus on other areas of the relationship: Once sex has been placed in your little corner, you have now removed the speck from your eyes and like the song says, “I can see clearly now the rain is gone, I can see ALL obstacles in my way… it’s going to be a bright sunshiney day!” Sex is important but it is NOT the only aspect of a relationship to focus on especially in its formative stages. You want to ensure you can see other characteristics of the individual you are dating/courting and that you can make the decision whether you can tolerate them, or be the sandpaper they need to smoothen them.  Also, you can decide if this is someone that you can truly partner with to ‘conquer’ the world. Marriage is not founded on love, just ask Dr. Miles Monroe.

3.   It eliminates unwanted pregnancies, possibilities of contracting std’s and other sex-related ailments: How many times have persons had children and wished they had them with someone else? This is just one instance where abstinence can allow you to wait and plan your child without regrets. Getting tangled with someone you only intended to have a one-night stand with for life because you now have a third “little person” in the picture. Or even having an abortion you really didn’t want to have because you are not ready to take on the challenges that come with a child? Sexually related diseases contracted at an early age because the wait seemed like forever? I am not indicating that this is the doom ending that everyone faces when they do not abstain. However, the chances of them happening to you at a very young age are much higher when you become sexually active before marriage.

4.   Reduces the number of spirits (demonic) being transferred to you: God didn’t ask us to be equally yoked and faithful because He wanted to be selfish. It is way deeper than this. Sex was created for marriage because of its intensity and what is shared when two people engage in the act. Just look at how much of your parents you see in you. What do you think happens when these secretions are transferred? You are transferring parts of yourselves. So if you sleep with multiple people, there is a huge chance that you have a part of all of them in you. No, you are not bipolar you just have a part of each of your sex partners emerging every now and then. Creepy isn’t it? It gets worst; these parts could include demons, bad personality traits, spirits of anger, and hatred… Sex is truly more spiritual than natural.  You truly become one with the person, as we see married couples resemble each other after years of marriage. The good news? You can actually get delivered from these spirits but this part is not as easy as receiving them.

5.   Self-control: There is power in abstinence and denying your body (flesh) its desires or rather delaying it the satisfaction. This can be seen in fasting and dieting. –Because we know the end goal, we resist that hot wings and fries with ketchup and mayo that is “calling” us as we swing by our favourite restaurant or we sink deep into prayer and worship when the fasting becomes unbearable, acknowledging that man does not live by bread alone but by the word of God. (Matthew 5) Engaging in such practices strengthens your spirit rather than your emotions and flesh and gives you a level of self-control that can lead you to resist the temptation not just in your relationship but towards others as well. -Delayed gratification! (1 Corinthians 10:13)

Finally, Christians can now look forward to these benefits when they choose delayed gratification over the “quick fixes” the world offers.  In life we all have choices, and some things may demand a lot from us to achieve but what true accomplishment comes without some endurance and persistence?

Matthew 7: 13 and 14 speak on taking the wide (easy) path versus the narrow (challenging) path and the end result of both. The Bible may be misinterpreted by many however there is true wisdom within its contents for those who take the time to truly seek it, and allow the Holy Spirit to lead them. Will you, Christian or not, choose to gain these benefits or will you choose instant gratification? The choice remains YOURS!

Tripple Negative Breast Cancer Survivor Natasha Alie fulfills Philippians 4:13

Natasha discovered she had cancer at a critical time for her family.
By Netisha Alie

The Alie family was still morning the loss of a member to breast cancer when the news came that another (Natasha Alie) was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer. Imagine the nerve- wrecking emotions that hit the very core of our being from this news.
For most people hearing the word Cancer is a "Death Penalty." This dreadful disease has claimed and continues to claim the lives of so many that it is as exciting as a root canal. Nevertheless the Alie family had no choice but to "saddle up and prepare for battle."

In most action movies the star character endures quite the beating but we all know that they usually emerge victorious in the end.- This is the story that Natasha is clearly writing in her fight against cancer; the star (heroine) who will definitely emerge victorious in the end. The best part?-She has a secret weapon and she is more than willing to share it with the world.

As the mother of a beautiful princess with a daring personality and a son who is quite the mellow soul, Natasha was the average independent woman. She loves life and her family, works hard and makes time to 'play even harder'. She obviously knew how to balance it all. Until December 2016!

How it impacted her life and those around her and how she fought it with God.
After being told she had Triple Negative Breast Cancer, - a rare type of cancer that isn't fueled by any of the three main things: the hormones estrogen & progesterone and a protein called HER2. It is more aggressive than other forms and does not respond to some medication that works for others. -This was enough to send Natasha into a downward spiral of depression & insanity.

This is just life, one day you're living it and the next day it comes down on you like a sudden "The Sky is falling moment" as Chicken little once said. No warning!

She obviously needed a few moments to let it dawn on her. Penetrated with sorrow, divine intervention pulled her together and she put on the full armor of God and prepared for war!
Natasha embarked on a journey with the will to live and refusal to accept death. She simply had too much to live for, her daughter, her son, and her family. -The stakes were just too high.

She underwent 8 rounds of Chemo and still reported to work, plus 25 rounds of Radiation Therapy.  Determined!
In November 2017 Natasha suffered a seizure that lead doctors to discover that she had metastatic (the spread of the cancer cells) from her breast to her brain. She then had surgery in December and refused radiation. Though Natasha was adamant, the cancer, as if having a mind of its own, didnt seem to want to lose either.
It returned in March forcing Natasha into another surgery in April! The family was already breathing, hoping she was in the clear. However the battle continued, this time bigger and stronger, as if the cancer had transformed into Hulk and sends Natasha into a coma on Friday 15thJune 2018. Rest!

The doctors gave up on her, refusing surgery and claiming it was useless. However God had great plans for His daughter since on Saturday June 16th the doctors changed their minds and performed the operation against all odds. Gods love! Then on Sunday June 17th 2018 Natasha awoke moving her limbs and responding to voices. Victory!
Like Jesus, on the third day she rose again! The doctors were in disbelief by the power of God! That coma shocked us as we never saw it coming but it was proof that Gods hands was upon our sweet Natasha.

What she wants the world to know about her journey.
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" Philippians 4:13

Throughout her journey, Natasha never gave up! She kept on speaking life into herself and others, praying, sharing love and encouragement. When we'd cry she was the one to encourage, she stood as the strongest amongst us. She became such an inspiration to us by refusing to give up, overcoming the negative thoughts and cherishing every moment. We knew we had to be strong for her! Through intense intercession and fasting, seeking the divine being who we knew had the final say, Natasha was able to keep going because as she says, "it was only the grace of God, I am grateful..." I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, Philippians 4:13 fulfilled in 2018!

Although her journey continues, with more Radiation therapy (15 rounds) Natasha is still here with us, sharing love and inspiration while hoping that she can do the same for others who are fighting too. She encourages us to love one another, and seek God as only He can heal our every disease. She wants everyone to know the greatness of God in her life and how much He strengthens and sustains her daily. We continue to pray for our Natasha, our ray of hope, our heroine.
For while some look in movies for their stars, we have our own with us, shining brightly and she owes it all to the grace of God-her Secret Weapon.

What are you battling in your life today? I hope that through Natasha's story you too will find strength in Christ to match into your victory as she does!

The misconception of the Jesus is coming SOON concept
