The only one who waited for me isn't human

Written by Netisha Alie

As a young lady in society today there is so much to face from the same and opposite sex. However even the most ambitious and beautiful girls want a guy who will wait on them and value them just enough to recognize their worth, yet so many men fail in this regard.

I'm not quite sure what a man sees or thinks when he sees an attractive, hard-working woman doing her best to be awesome on her own, but to think that there are actually men out there who would see such a woman and 'play' on the strings of her guitar is beyond 'wicked.'

Perhaps they have issues of their own or an 'ice box’ in the place of their hearts' to chase a woman with no intention of cherishing her, who knows. This is a 'hypothesis' I am yet to test and comprehend. For centuries women have been viewed as the lesser sex, so this definitely didn't just happen. However, much has changed and one would expect that a man would just be genuine and MAN ENOUGH to see a woman and decide that she is not worth his games. This is especially so when there are so many women who are looking for flings and frivolous encounters, with no strings attached.
A friend once asked; "why don't hot females hook up with hot males and vice versa?" Good question! Why don't 'fling males' hook up with 'fling females' and serious males hook up with the same. The bible speaks of equally yoked for this very reason. 2 Corinthians 6:14 NIV "Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? or what fellowship can light have with darkness? Ever wonder about everyone being 'equally yoked?' We won't know I suppose.

Nevertheless, there are guys who are 'real' enough to say to a woman, "it was my plan to sleep with you but you are just too special for this so i'd rather move on..." recognizing the jewel she is and not wasting her time. On the other hand another would embark on a journey to 'deflower' her for their selfish gains. Whatever form of satisfaction a man gets from such heinous acts, makes him anything but a man.

Some women get to wake up from the nightmare of being preyed on while others meet their demise in it. Those who wake up usually come to the realization that the one for them, their first love, isn't human.  Women were created by God and since God is a king, His daughters are royalty! Yes! You are a princess of the Most High God and He isn't human. Any woman who recognizes this absolute truth, finds her worth, and any woman who is blessed enough to discover such will know who she is and how she DESERVES to be treated.

Ladies God, is love! His love is indescribable, and it is free for you to receive, once you come to know it, no man or 'manicou' can devalue your worth. He will wait for you, always forgive you once you ask, give you joy and peace no one in the world can give, cater to your every need, protect you, satisfy you and so much more. Yes He is all that and more!

So take a few minutes, go to a quiet place, reflect on your life and the man/men you have led into your 'queendom'. Then ask; Do I know my worth? Do I know whose I am? Have I accepted myself as God accepts me? (as you are flaws and all) Are you 'equally yoked'?  Has the man recognized your worth? Does he treat you as God would or close? Continue along those lines and be honest with yourself to put aside all the emotions, and mirage of 'cute, hot, rich guy' and open your eyes to what's really important. Do you see yourself growing old with him when all the facades fail?

You were not created to be anyone's doormat nor tossed around like a ball, passing from on hand to the next. You are wonderfully and beautifully made by the creator of the universe, whose works are so wonderful! Psalms 139:14 Receive it and give God Praise! I once wanted a man to wait on me, but after a few 'nightmares' I woke up and went to the one who WAITED FOR ME from the beginning-GOD and He has been nothing but amazing to me. Come on princesses, it is time to wake up!
