Believe it or not I wrote the first part of this poem while rushing to get my dress for church and the rest during the sermon at church. It is amazing because the same way I began the poem, is the very scripture the Pastor used to preach his sermon.
I smiled, for I knew God had obviously given me the words and He was confirming it. It is a simple poem, but I believe that it was surely inspired by the Holy Spirit. Have a great read!
FATHER
You were created from the very beginning,
after the image and likeness of the most supreme being
You were chosen to mimic His very qualities: Provide!
Protect! Preserve!
From the start, the mantle
has been placed upon you!
You are not expected to be weak
You are not expected to to fail
Yet, deep within you, you fear you may not prevail
Though you stumble,
Though you faint,
Never grow weary of your appointed authority
Rather, look to your FATHER,
The one who appointed and anointed you!
The one who'll sustain you!
ARISE! Take your rightful place!
You are MAN
You are LEADER
And most of all YOU ARE FATHER!
