Memory Loss: We forget too quickly!

"The truth is, people are going to forget the good you do today and stone you tomorrow, ..." LOVE EM ANYWAY!

Besides the fact that the world seems to be suffering from a Memory loss problem in general, the 'pace' at which adults these days seem to forget what others have done for them is quickly increasing. It happens enough to leave one to wonder, are we really suffering from memory loss issues or are we so quick to 'jump down a brother's/sister's throat' the first chance we get, that we actually CHOOSE TO FORGET?

The word on the 'street' is; 'we are living in a world where people only care about themselves.' According to 2 Timothy 3:1-2 "1But understand this: In the last days terrible times will come. 2For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy." Swimming in deep waters are we? It must really be the 'Last Days' because the manner in which people will 'use' you and heartily accept your generosity today but 'crucify' you the first chance they get tomorrow is becoming a scary norm that needs to be addressed.

No one says that one must become a 'slave' to someone who did them right but where is the reciprocation? Neither is this a case of taking offense or being 'all up in one's feelings...' But rather shedding light on the fact that humans have indeed been showing that they are "lovers of themselves" and "ungrateful". -That as soon as the 'benefits' stops coming they move on to the next option and will use the former 'benefactor' as a footstool or step to 'walk over' to get to the next level. What happened to good morals or 'treating others as we would like to be treated...?"  Seems as if the quest for attaining the award for 'top savage' on social media carries more value than actually tolerating someone who has been good to you and working things out with them one on one in a mature manner.

Perhaps a deeper issue lies within persons who so blatantly act so ungrateful. Perhaps they are not very happy within themselves that they cannot treat another person kindly. Or they are so 'hungry' to be accepted by almost anyone that they will do whatever it takes to get that attention; good or bad. Whatever it is, the coldness of watching someone ill treat someone today who was good to them yesterday is a like being served a frozen meal. COLD! HEARTLESS! or as they call it now; downright 'SAVAGE!'

Thumbs up to the strong loving people who continue to show kindness in this world. There are some good people left after all. As the saying goes; "People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centered; Forgive them anyway." -Mother Theresa Even the Jesus urged his apostles in Matthew 5:44...do good to those who hate you..." Killing them with kindness is far more rewarding than starting an unending 'back stabbing war.'

The truth is, people are going to forget the good you do today and stone you tomorrow, so don't look on how others treat you in return in order to decide how to treat them. Choose to treat people with love no matter what they reciprocate, because what you do is who you are and what they do is who they are! Love em ANYWAY!
