Believe it or not your mom and dad didn’t create you. They were charged with the task of bringing you into the world but you’re actual formation was done by your creator.
God said to the prophet Jeremiah; “before I formed you in your mother’s womb, I knew you…”-Jeremiah 1:5 this very powerful statement let’s us know that our creator had already ordained a life for us even before we were conceived.
This is therefore the first reason that you SHOULD have a relationship with your creator first before anyone else. No one else can ever know you like He does and so they can never understand you like He does.
Moreover, a relationship with God yields fruits such as Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, kindness, gentleness, and self-control. -Galatians 5:22…These are all the qualities you truly need to succeed in this life. A love that is so perfect that is casts out all fear, a peace that passes all understanding, a joy that the world cannot give hence it cannot take away and furthermore, self control. Being able to manage the way you feel effectively is one of the greatest qualities to possess in this life, especially when everything you see and hear is geared towards taking control of you. Having a mind that is unaffected by the noise and can stand firm in its belief is a true treasure. For whatever you focus on you believe and become. Tis wise to have that part of you (your mind) as guarded as possible.
A final reason that you should have and establish a relationship with God first over anyone else is His promises are “ye & amen!” Especially this one: “I will never leave you nor forsake you…”-Deuteronomy 31:6 there isn’t a single being or soul that can give you this level of loyalty, and that is what will keep you sane, grounded & most of all like a tree planted by the rivers or living water… -Jeremiah 17:8 it will never wither for its supply is everlasting.
Just imagine the type of individual you can be on this earth by being connected to such a supply. Shaloam!
